A Month Of Highs & Very Lows

Posted by admin on 26 June, 2018

Our thoughts and love go to our much loved Ambassador Jonty Evans and his family. Jonty, at this time of writing, is still unconscious following his bad fall at Tattersalls. Terrible news and we hope to be able to observe better news on Jonty's condition shortly.

In other news, we share a feel-good factor on a good friend of the Childéric family, eventer Rachel Robinson who completed a first: Competing at the 2018 DHL Lumuhlen 4* Horse Trials and Rachel and MJI Limmerick Bell finished a hugely respectable 29th! Well done to this wonderful partnership who have gone through so much to achieve so much more!

In the dressage arena, our Ambassadors Fiona Bigwood and Anders Dahl both impressed the judges at Bolesworth International and returned home with a number of great placings. Fiona's new rider, Daytona Platinum (Dino) was 2nd in the 7-Year-Old Qualifier after his initial reservation of having to walk under a pedestrian bridge to the test arena made him a little tense. At 18.3hh he was understandably concerned!  Fiona also pulled a 5th in the Grand Prix with Kjaerholm's Abutsiaq.

Dino and Fiona then went onto come 3rd at the Hickstead Premier League in the PSG and Anders won his PSG class with Florina and Fidelio.

Well done to dressage's golden couple with two fabulous highlights in one month!

We hope you are all having a good season so far and are enjoying the longer daylight hours and the warmer weather. It has certainly has made saddle fitting in the great outdoors so much more enjoyable for the team here!
