Hi everyone ,

Sadly Leo and I never made it to the Regionals because of a field injury but we have recently been to Myerscough Premier League where we were competing in the Pony FEI Team test.

Leo had only been back in full work for a number of weeks so the first Premier League of the season was probably arriving a little too early for our preparation level, but we went in determined to do our best and the judges seemed to like it as we came away with a PB score of 68.97 from one of the judges !! In particular we had great scores for our lateral and medium work in trot and his saddle really helps this, as it enables him to fully utilise his front shoulders ,whilst simultaneously keeping balanced.

Overall we took 5th place, which was just amazing amongst such strong company and it felt as good as having won the class given that each of the ponies placed first to fourth have all been to the Pony Europeans representing GB at least twice .

I  am so grateful for the support of Tricia and the team at Childéric UK who are amazing sponsors, they are always so supportive of Leo and I, even when things are not going quite to plan and even when Leo decides to play a little too much in the field. I do wonder if I should be a little worried though, as our vet has now written on his notes 'serial self harmer' !!

We now have a break for a few weeks so we are going to spend some more time training, and then hopefully get out to get some summer regional qualifying points before the rest of the Premier Leagues.

Bye for now,
